Commentary Don Quixote, knelt down, begs the innkeeper to knight him; the scene has been placed at the inn stable, accurate to Cervantes' text.
Notice the use of stipple to shade the figures and faces (see the innkeeper). 
Notes 1 - Copy after the illustration designed by unknown designer for London: Rivington, 1792.
2 - Ridley's signature as "Ridley P." (in other illus. "Ridley Pr.") maybe refers not to the engraver, but to the printer.
